What Students are Saying about Advanced ESL - Mixed Classroom and Online
Angela, August 3, 2005
I think my English is improving. Every teacher teaches differently, but we have such a great teacher (image placeholder). I like the online study. Times are flexible and I don't have to go to school as often as before. It saves me some time and gas.

I have improved my English, even my listening. Especially, I improved my writing very much in this course. I am proud of it, though I still made some mistakes. To me, I think this course has been very useful. I am glad I have taken this course.
Ashley, August 9, 2005:
Frankly, when I took the online course, I felt a little bit worried, because an online course means two days we should study at home. I thought I would lack a study climate, and would not reach my desire, which is improving my listening and speaking. However, after two weeks, I considered my decision to take the course was wise. There are 3 reasons to support me.
First, I have a wonderful teacher. She is profound, patient and professional. I always can get useful and effectual information from the Internet, which she provided to us, and also can ask her questions online, even it is at night. I feel the teacher always accompanies me. Also, she recommends and encourages us to take part in diverse interesting activities, which are effective for us to enhance our English. For example, through participating in the International Culture project, I not only did the presentation in the Virtual Classroom to promote my oral English skill, but also studied a new computer tool and met new friends from Kuwait.
Second, the course cultivates my ability of self-study. Before I didn't know what was the efficient way to study English, because I had not been a student for almost 15 years and could not concentrate on study. However, since I took the online course I have followed the teacher's instruction and have made use of various useful resources to practice my English, such as voicemail, VClass, blogs, and discussion forums. I am interested in the course.
Last, the time of online is flexible, so I have time to look after my son, and also can arrange my household tasks rotationally. Being an adult student, I think the on line course fits for me.
In short, I am enjoying the online course.
